Very Satisfied Dec 13, 2005
By Comm Dude I have a fairly large lot (1/2 acre) and cleaning up leaves in the fall used to take me all afternoon. This sweeper does a very good job. I finished my leaf sweeping in just over an hour. It took some experimenting with how fast to go at first, but after playing with it for a little while it worked great. I'm highly satisfied with it. It does take up a lot of space in my shed, but if you pull a couple of pins the bag detaches from the main housing and you can store it more compactly.

SWEEPER WORKS FINE BUT UNWIELDY Aug 19, 2005
By P. IMPERO This lawn sweeper does the job as advertised and is well built, but you had better have a big yard to maneuver it around in. It also takes a lot of storage space in the garage.

Works for most things. Jan 12, 2008
By Watchin WOrks for dry leaves, large pine needles, small pine cones, dry grass. Doesn't work for apple drops, large pine cones, newly mown grass, wet anything. I have 1/4 acre lot (10,000 sqft lawn area) with several trees dropping leaves in the fall (New England). I used to reserve a weekend to rake and bag, now do it several times for about 1 hour each instead, and I'm not exhausted when done.
Works well with any size riding lawn mower, run at 3rd gear (3 MPH) with proper height and it'll do pretty good. What it don't pick up I leave for the one that put them there (yeah her). Will fold up to size of front piece for storage but is bulky.
You need turning room to sweep, I do whole yard as one loop. Drop leaves on driveway, suck and grind with blower/vacuum into bags and we're done. Get the free shipping!! It's heavy.

Works well with some tweaking Jun 23, 2008
By S. Schroeder The directions were a bit confusing. Put the frame in upside down at first. Watch out! The plugs that hold the frame pieces together don't come out easy. The hitch on our lawn mower is quite a bit lower than this allows, so we attached it by hooking it through a bungie cord on the lawn mower. Works for now, but tends to balk on bumps. We'll try to make a more stable hitch higher up for it. Picks up grass well. We don't have many leaves or sticks, so I can't say much about that. We have a 2 acre open area that I use this on to collect the grass for weed control in my garden. I have to stop every so often to shift the grass to the back of the bag because it tends to bunch up near the front. So, when it's nearly full I run the mower faster. That seems to help throw the grass to the back. All in all, I like it. I'm glad I bought it.

Just what I needed Jun 11, 2007
By Robert Arnold I used this on a 3 acre field after mowing. Worked great and even picked up the old thatch left from months of mowing without raking. I went for the smaller size (38") because I have some tricky areas to get around but it still has adequate capacity. The dump system is easy to use and overall it appears to be a sturdy unit.
Shipping was very fast (3 days). Assembly was relatively easy even though the instructions were not as clear as they could have been.
It was definitely a value when I purchased it on 6/5/07 at $125 with free shipping. I now see it's up to ~$190. At that price you might want to look locally at Sears or Tractor Supply but the higher price is still less by a few dollars when you consider sales tax.
